KAPpers Quick Setup Guide

The Schieppati Switch (or SchiSwi for short) was designed to be used in model aircraft and thus its manual is written with that in mind. Most KAPpers will use the SchiSwi in a different way. Hence this Quick Setup Guide. For more elaborated programming of the SchiSwi, please refer to the original manual.

  1. Connect the grey/red and grey/black wires of the SchiSwi to the element of your to be switched (i.e. camera, video transmitter (800 mA max.!)).
  2. Connect the servo connector of the SchiSwi to the appropriate channel of the receiver.
  3. Make sure all batteries are charged.
  4. Put the program jumper (the little red thing) onto both pins of the SchiSwi.
  5. Switch on the transmitter.
  6. Switch on the receiver.
  7. The SchiSwi's LED should respond with 6 red blinks. If not check all connections.
  8. After that the LED is permanently red and the OFF position is stored.
  9. Move the stick or push the button on the transmitter that should activate the SchiSwi and hold it that position.
  10. The SchiSwi should respond with 4 green blinks.
  11. As soon as the LED stays green the ON position of the SchiSwi is stored.
  12. Release the stick or the button.
  13. The LED should be red now.
  14. Remove the jumper and store it in a save place.
  15. Wait for the LED to turn green to show all data is stored.
  16. Than the LED turns off.
  17. Switch off the receiver and the transmitter.
  18. Switch on the receiver and the transmitter (in that order).
  19. Check if the SchiSwi does what it should do.
  20. Ready (and turn everything off or start KAPing).
