A new rig kit that comes with all electronics, servos, battery holder and switch and a suspensions system for almost all compact digital cameras.
KAPshop's Medium1 rig is the result of many years of designing and building rigs for Kite Aerial Photography (KAP) and Balloon Aerial Photography (BAP). It is also an attempt to create a succesor for the famous Brooxes Basic KAP Kit, the BBKK.
The BBKK is still an amazing, 10 years old design, as it will take today's cameras. But it was drawn using the components that where available at that time. Back than there was only the standard servo, at least at a reasonable price. Often these servos came with a clumsy radio control system that needed heavy AA batteries to work properly.
The result is a compact rig that weighs (with 4 AAA batteries) just 240 grammes. Its outside dimensions are 200 mm wide, 200 mm high and 42,5 mm deep with the Picavet cross folded.
As this is a complete kit there are no options to chose from. Please note that the camera in the pictures as well as the batteries are not included. You can find more information on this rig and how to build it here.
